10.07.04 | You're a bit behind. We're stopping the Grail Queen from stealing the Medallion and we've failed utterly to prevent her thus far, so we are about to try and catch up before they get there. ...Questions?Collapse )

Recovery Time [Oct. 7th, 2004|08:40 pm]
The Handbasket Has Arrived

Given that the time of at least a few skirmishes if not an all out battle is almost upon us, I figured it was time to standardize the amount of damage and recovery possible for all our pretty, breakable characters.

ANGELS

Angels by definition are immortal, but they can sustain a fair amount of damage and feel every bit of it. God created them to feel the pain of mortals and thus, wounds hurt just as much. The more battle oriented and/or tortured may have built up more immunity to these aches, but suffer nonetheless. Angels as a rule will heal faster then humans. Here's a handy chart:
WOUND TIME TO HEAL
Minor Cut 1-3 minutes
Deep Cut 10-15 minutes
Very Deep Cut 1-2 hours
Broken Bone 3-4 hours
Dismemberment (small-i.e.finger) 1 day
Dismemberment (medium- i.e. hand) 2-3 days
Dismemberment (large-i.e. arm) 4-6 days
Dismemberment (complete, only head left) 2-3 weeks
Complete Demolition 1 month
(provided body parts are kept near each other)

HUMANS
The amount of pain suffered from an exact wound is equal between humans and angels. It is not however, equal when it comes to healing time. Humans are still to caught up in mortal actions and reactions. Only very ancient human dead can master the art of healing as rapidly as angels. These millennia old spirits are less inclined to get injured in the first place, mostly because they either walk to Oblivion or don't move very much. So here's the human chart:

WOUND TIME TO HEAL
Minor Cut 10-20 minutes
Deep Cut 20-40 minutes
Very Deep Cut 3-4 hours
Broken Bone 5-7 hours
Dismemberment (small-i.e.finger) 2 day
Dismemberment (medium- i.e. hand) 3-4 days
Dismemberment (large-i.e. arm) 4-6 days
Dismemberment (complete, only head left) 1 month
Complete Demolition 3-5 month
(provided body parts are kept near each other)
